General overview
So, we've been craving poutine for a while now and we finally got to eat this Quebec's delicacy! Poutine, if you guys don't know is French fries, gravy and cheese curds! The best is from Quebec. I swear. I've been around Canada and here's the best. Anyway, so Saturday we went to Frite Alors! A famous French fries eatery. Their French fries and sauces are like mmh good~~

Overall, this place has a nice ambience, although kind of empty? But then it's winter, so it's understandable. According to Erika, it's full in summer because there's the patio outside. Basically all of the Frite Alors! have this same atmosphere. Some sort of oldie and easy-going place.

Poutine: La Frite Alors!

Ling's verdict
Wooh! Finally about the food! Of all the time I've been here, this is actually my first time getting a poutine.. Because I'm in love with their dipping sauces so.. Yeah.. Sauce all the way! Anyway, I got the La Frite Alors! because we were at Frite Alors! and I thought that was funky. Ha Haha Hahaha. It's basically a regular poutine + onions, red pepper, bacon and mushrooms.
Pretty decent taste at the beginning. I love mushrooms and onions and cheese so I obviously am loving this. But after a while, the poutine gets dull (?).. Like there's really nothing exciting about it and after my 10th bite or so, my craving for poutine was kinda gone..
But that aside, I would totally rate this poutine a good 7 out of 10 because all the toppings match so well together and creates some sort of peppery and not too salty mix.

Poutine: La Cochonne

Sandy's verdict
Like usual, Erika and Ling decided where to eat while I just decide if I should join in or not lol (those girls are seriously going to make me broke haha)
I chose La Cochonne, because why not? I was hungry! It was a poutine with pork fat + grilled onions. Honestly, I decided on this one, only because there was a lot of onions. Can't beat my love for onions <3 My opinion is pretty similar to Ling's. It started pretty good, but I got bored of it at the end? (maybe because I ate all the toppings first? We will never know) Overall, I liked it, but I didn't LOVE it. Would I ever try it again? Maybe, but I would probably try something else on the menu.

Beef Hamburger + small poutine: L'Avocat

Erika's verdict
So I felt very smart yesterday when the food came. AND I ATE THE POUTINE FIRST. YESSSS!! just so that it doesn't become soggy by the time I'm done with my burger. So I chose this avocado burger over the other choices because I felt like eating avocado and woah so healthy? But then, I was kind of disappointed when I started eating it? It was REALLY bland? It had onions, tomato slices, the burger, avocado and mayo. It would've tasted better if they used something other than mayo... :/ BUT I got my burger fix hihi. The poutine was pretty good, but the fries could've been better? Overall it was pretty good but not amazing~
